About Us

Wales Activity Breaks was set up in early 2006 as an extension to Taff Valley Quad Bike & Activity Centre which started trading in 1992. Taff Valley is our farm in Upperboat, Pontypridd, and we specialise in Quad Biking, Archery, Clay Shooting & Gorge Walking in the Brecon Beacons. We have an excellent quad trekking product with 360 acres of wild farmland to explore, suitable for ages 7yo upwards. We also contract in highly motivated and enthusiastic archery & shooting instructors from local clubs. Our activities are very popular with families, small and large groups, corporate clients and schools/youth groups.

We now arrange many other activities and activity breaks for any occasion for any number of people including stag and hen parties, families, couples, corporate groups and youth groups. With our expert local knowledge and unique local contacts we can arrange a whole lot of other activities throughout South Wales as well as those on or farm. Including Golf at a Championship course just outside Cardiff or in one of the many value golf courses in the valleys, Horse Riding near Brecon or Caerphilly, Climbing at indoor centres, Kayaking/Canoeing, Paintball, RIB Speedboat rides, Raft Building, Caving, Mountain Biking in the infamous Afan Valley, the Brecon Beacons or the Taff Trail, Guided Walks, Pampering, 4x4 Off Road Driving, Laser Paintball, Pole Dancing, Chocolate Making, Jewellery Making, Go-Karting and more.

We can also arrange taxi's, mini busses, Limousines, small and large coaches. We link with cafes, restaurants and pubs too.

A vital part of our business is also arranging accommodation. We link with most of the major chains of hotels but we also work with a lot of independent hotels and family run B&B's, bunkhouses etc. Not only do we work with Cardiff based places to stay, but a lot of country hotels, B&B's, bunkhouses etc outside of Cardiff, in the valleys and small welsh towns or even rural countryside like the Brecon Beacons National Park.

Corporate Team building is a large part of our business too. We have been providing team building days and residential's for a lot of large blue chip companies, along with smaller companies for many years now. We will customise the itineraries to suit the clients, and we can include adventurous activities, practical exercises, treasure hunts etc. It could just be an hour of fun together or a full day with lunch and transport. Even overnight team building events.

We run courses for youth groups and schools, and put together activity days and residential's, with valid learning outcomes. We have put together a number of Rugby and Football tours for youth teams from various parts of the UK, linking with local clubs for friendly matches, there is no booking too small or too large for us, and there isn't an activity in South Wales we don't know about.

We aim to provide a personal service to put togther practical packages which include high standards and value for money.
